The Jeffer Proves He Is Still At The Top Of His Game – Charges To A 5th And 6th Place Finish At OCFS’s Eastern States Weekend
As the saying goes, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
There aren’t many drivers in dirt racing that are as smooth and patient as Jeff Heotzler. Those traits were once again on display during the 53rd running of the Eastern States Weekend at the historic Orange County Fair Speedway over the weekend.
On Saturday night, The Jeffer carefully navigated his way though the field from his 26th starting position en route to an impressive 5th place finish in the Eastern States 100 358 Modified Championship. The Jeffer made the most of a few late race restarts, charging past the likes of super stars Stewart Friesen and Tim McCreadie. The Schrufer Racing, Academy Transmission 2a was on a mission…
On Sunday, the plan was to remain patient, conserve tires, execute pit strategy and survive all 200 laps. At the end of the day, the plan worked nearly to perfection. The Jeffer drove the Roberts Racing, Array of Monograms 14h Teo Pro Car to a 6th place finish from his 22nd place starting position.
It was a great weekend that wouldn’t have been made possible without great car owners, a hard working crew and the support of our loyal sponsors and fans.
